I was just wondering why does my canker sore hurt so much for so long after healing?

Canker sore: How long is "for so long"? And are you sure it's a canker sore? If it is, size and duration varies from individual to individual and from time to time. Medical factors, what you eat, amount of stress may all play a role in intensity and duration of discomfort. Consult with you own dentist for specific advice.

Call GYN again: Need to check for STD (genital warts?) or an autoimmune disorder especially if you suffer from swollen and painful joints. If you can't get an answer from your current GYN, get a 2nd opinion.

Frequent reccurring canker sore on the inside of the lip... It appears 3-4 time per month and last max 3-4 days... Should I be worried?

Concerned: Most canker sores or apthous ulcers appear for 7-10 days with symptoms. They can be set off by various triggers. They are of an autoimmune source, not infectious. Your frequency of occurrence is more than normal unless you are continuously setting them off. However, there are a number of other causes of oral lesions, like lichen planis, that exhibit as sores. Go see your dentist for evaluation.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted last friday 4-18-14; and I now have a canker sore by the bottom right extraction site. Is this normal?

Canker sores: This is normal. Canker sores, also known as mouth ulcers or mouth blisters, usually heal on its own in about a week or two. If the sores continue to persist, or are large or painful, visit your dentist. Depending on the nature and severity of the sore, dentists prescribe antimicrobial mouth rinses, corticosteroid ointments, or a prescription to reduce the pain and irritation.
