Medications such as norvasc (amlodipine) can cause swelling as well as a blood clot, lie ER disease etc. Make sure you discuss this with your doctor to treat the underlying cause effectively. ...Read more

Drinking water during night... Is it bad. Do we have to give rest to our kidney? Or is it a myth?

Water is healthy: Drinking water and plenty of it throughout the day (as long as it is not contaminated) is good for the kidneys. They don't need a rest--especially at 25. Most don't drink enough. My sgpt is 73 and ggtp is 93. Rest is all normal on liver and kidney function test. Please suggest?

When they are found to be abnormal, the most important thing is to avoid alcohol and to have them retested in a month or two to see if they are still elevated.
