Is ringworm a real worm? Pharmacist said it was in my elbow. It burns/stings no itch. Have clotrimazole 1% anti fungal cream. How long last? Worried..

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Fungal infection: Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin. If a cream is used that the fungus is susceptible to then on average 2-3 weeks of treatment will "cure" most ringworm.
