Is there anything out there one can do for mosquito bite allergies? The area that is bit swells and itches horribly and sometimes is painful.
Mosquito bites: Mosquitos can be a real nuisance. The saliva from the insect bite can cause an itchy reaction that is a problem for some people. Try an ice pack to cool off the itching- 10 min on/10 min off. If need something more, Hydrocortisone 1% cream to area (but not the face!) 1 or 2x/day. An oral antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Claritin could also help. Avoidance is best- long pants, socks + bug repellant. ...Read more

Assuming it is a: different location each time. Consider applying calamine lotion or crushed ice or a cold pack. A 1 to 1 mix of water & baking soda is effective when applied to lesions. If the swelling is large and painful, you might need to see a local physician to be evaluated.
