Please tell me the symptoms of chronic Lyme disease, and how long can someone go without signs before they reappear?

Depends: If you caught the disease early, in stage 1 with the initial fever and rash, fever should resolve within a couple of days of starting the antibiotic. If the disease had progressed further before treatment was initiated, it may take a lot longer to become fever free - even 10-14 days. Many factors : Depends on a lot of things. Untreated, lyme disease can spread to many organs over weeks & months, yet still not show symptoms. Or, a person could get very ill within days of the tick bite. Untreated, lyme disease does not go away by itself, even if the symptoms get better. Treatment?: If you were treated 9 years ago, then you likely killed off most if not all of the bacteria and this will not affect you long term much at all. However, there are a small number of people who deal with long term after effects of the infection that can be difficult to treat.
