Doctor insights on:
How Long Before Belara Helps Acne
Hi there, I will appreciate your help. I tool belara contraceptive pill last month for acne reasons. This is the 21 pack pill. I took all the pill su?
Several cycles: Oral hormonal therapy helps resolve acne in some women, but not others. It may take several cycles of use for results to be noticed. One pack is insufficient. Consult your doctor for more instructions on use.
1-3 months old: In my experience, all but the most mild cases of infant acne peak in the second month of life and then fade gradually over the following few weeks. I tell parents that it will probably get worse before it gets better. Happily, in some cases, both they and I are pleasantly suprised.See 1 more doctor answer
Several days: Several days depending on the length and severitiy of the infection.
Give it two weeks: If you're not seeing good results by this time, get back with your physician. If you have been given a different interval to wait, trust your physician. Good luck.
DependsAnswerDepends: For some people they work and others not at all. If give them a couple of months befor giving up. You must remember the pills alone will never work if you do not have strict hygeine!See 1 more doctor answer
2-3 menstrual cycles: It varies but usually over 2 or 3 menstrual cycles. Your doctor may elect watchful waiting to see if the cyst would resolve on its own.
Depends: If there is no new active pimple occurring in the same area, the old red marks should go away in weeks if not days. But if repeat episodes of pimple "attacking" the same regions, the red marks are going to last a long time, sometimes turning into dark brown marks (or "black" in colored skin).
Acne treatment: This is confusing, you are 45 years old and live in South Carolina? That's hard to believe since most 45 year olds are not on birth control for Acne break outs and Diannete is banned in France, Canada and U.S. How can we help you if you won't even provide the minimal information we need. Talk to your doctor where ever you are.
Get seen: It won't self-cure. Cystic acne is a life-ruiner for anyone who suffers from it, and it is abuse not to get it treated. A physician may make a trial of topical treatment plus a systemic antibiotic, but it will usually require a medicine such as Accutane which only a dermatologist can prescribe. Scarring from cystic acne can be brutal but can be made less conspicuous, again by a dermatologist.
About two weeks: Hang in there. If you don't see success with one, your physician has other choices. Good luck.
They may not: Be sure not to take them with milk or antacids. Effects are obvious obvious within 2 weeks at a fair dosage. If they fail, there are other medicines to try. You may want to add a topical agent such as Clindamycin with or without a retinoic acid derivative. Good luck.
Do nothing: Baby acne would go away by itself, no treatment is needed.
