How Long After I Drink Can I Breast Feed Again
Breast Feeding: It is better to not drink at all while you are breast feeding. If you do decide to use alcohol, it depends on the amount your drink, and when you stop. Small amounts can be out of your system in hours. Larger amounts will take 6 or more hours. Negligible alcohol becomes part of the breast milk, so pumping and discarding is not recommended (american academy of pediatrics). ...Read more

Hard to say: Since milk is made continuously and the byproducts of drinking and smoking enter the milk, it is hard to be clear of any effort that would protect baby.Pumping and dumping for 4-6 hours after a night of drinking would likely clear the milk to a degree. The residual smoke you cannot smell remains in your hair and on your clothing. Baby will inhale ; be exposed regardless as long as you smoke. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My baby is 12 days old and I've been breastfeeding. I only have given him the bottle 3 times and now he doesnt want to drink any milk from my breasts.

Sometimes babies get "lazy" after a bottle - the holes in the nipple of the bottle provide a faster fluid flow then your own milk ducts. I would keep at it - allowing him time to latch on. If he's hungry he will suck - worst case scenario - you have to pump your breasts into a bottle. Keep trying ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Depends: Your milk is made continuously & the drugs will remain at trace levels for days.Baby will get enough drug to show up on testing. The long term effect or their brain is unknown but it increases risk of crib death. It's time you decide whether you want to breast feed or light up.
