How likely is it to get pregnant on axithromicin and birth control.. Is that an antibiotic that affects birth control?

How likely is it to get pregnant on axithromicin and birth control.. Is that an antibiotic that affects birth control?

But like any contraceptive method, the IUD does have a low baseline rate of pregnancy. So yes you may get pregnant (very low risk) but if you do, it won't be because of the antibiotics. ...Read more

Am i likely to get pregnant while on the pill but 48 hrs after finishing an antibiotic?

Am i likely to get pregnant while on the pill but 48 hrs after finishing an antibiotic?

Not likely: Don’t guess. Take a test. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more

Not sure I get it: Are you wondering if the antibiotic cream would prevent pregnancy? It would not do anything about conception possibilities. So, if you hope you did - you don't have to worry. If you hope you didn't - good luck this time - use real protection in the future. ...Read more
