How Fertile Are 17 Year Olds
I'm a 26-year-old male... How can I raise my fertility level, and how can she raise hers? She is 30.
Additional Advice: I agree with dr. Opsahl, one additonal thing to add to the list, decrease caffeine intake. Several studies have suggested those that consume caffiene take longer to get pregnant and that it increases risk of miscarriage. If you have been trying for over a year, consider seeing an ob/gyn or fertiltiy doctor for some testing to make sure everything is ok. ...Read more
Will a 17-year old have better fertility then a 20-year-old woman? Most likely assuming both same health and same everything?
Yes: Good healthy swimmers at 20 doesn't mean 2 decades of life in between didn't bring along a new variable that might impair fertility. Toxic exposures, infection, etc can drop fertility. The female involved may also contribute to success of failure of any parenting attempt for a variety of reasons. Assessment of the couple by a fertility team could give you some specific answers. ...Read more
Pituitary issue: Hello! An elevated prolactin needs to be further evaluated. Elevations in prolactin can be related to a prolactinoma or other pituitary abnormalities or can be related to several types of medications and other medical causes. I'm a 34-year-old male and my wife and I have been trying to pregnant for 1.5 years. Its depressing. Do men lose their fertility as they age?
Nothing lasts 4ever: Like women, fertility does decrease with age. The rate at which infertility develops in men however is very different from women. It tends to develop more slowly and for some men, apparently not at all. A perhaps overly simplistic rule of thumb is a 20-year difference; 40s for women, 60s for men. ...Read more

Is it ok for a 19-year-old girl weighing 180lbs to take some pills to help them lose weight? Does it affect your fertility?
PIlls to lose weight:
No. It is not okay. Pills are dangerous. They do not lead to true and lasting weight loss. They are actually a crime against health, but they make their makers a lot of money.
Weight loss is about changing your life. It is about limiting calories... Eating fewer sugars and more protein. It is about moving and being active with a type of exercise that burns the right calories... Those pesty sugars. ...Read more

Intercourse.: For a young couple in their 20s, unless you have some kind of pathology you should be able to get pregnant fairly easily with regular intercourse. 30 year old male. T levels is 210. My doctor will start me on T this week. I am worried cause I want to remain fertile but hate shots. Any HCG pills?
Proceed with caution: Taking supplemental testosterone will suppress your natural sperm production: if you take it long enough your sperm counts will go to zero. They will recover after you stop the supplementation. HCG is a peptide (protein) hormone so cannot be taken effectively by mouth. Good wishes. ...Read more
Can fertility be restored if it was lost due to a std? I am a 20-year-old female who has a child, but has been unable to have another. I've had an STD before and I believe that it is the reason why.
It depends....: What STD? Explan why you "believe" the STD is the cause of your infertility. Has infertility been professionally evaluated? Has your doctor said the cause? If you had pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) that blocked your tubes, it will be difficult to conceive, but treatment may still be possible, e.g. special surgery or in vitro fertilization. Ask your doctor. ...Read more

20 year old girl free testosterone level is 2,0 is it normal? (2,6-5,5 pg ml written as norma for fertile woman)
Probably normal: Hi. That's probably normal. I'm not sure what you're really trying to find out. Why did some doctor measure your free testosterone? Usually that's to work up hirsutism (male pattern hair growth) and/or irregular/absent periods. If it was for a low libido workup, it may be an issue. Are you cycling normally? Free testosterone will vary with your cycle, and repeating it may be normal. Need more info ...Read more

Annovulation: If your menstrual cycle is irregular, you may not be ovulating. This may make it more challenging conceiving. Does epididymitis affect the fertility of a 16-year olds sperm? I'm a 16-year-old male and have epididymitis in my right testicle. Do you think this will affect my fertility of getting a girl pregnant?
Hello 16 year old male. I seriously hope that at your age, you don't want to impregnate your girlfriend. Let's start with some basic information about the epididymis and about epididymitis. The majority of cases of epididymitis in men under 40 (you) are caused by sexually transmitted diseases. The epididymis carries sperm from the testicle to a tube called the vas deferens. Organisms travel backwards through the urethra to eventually reach the epidididymis. If the epididiymis becomes occluded it blocks sperm from leaving the testicles. A chronic infection could lead to significant scarring which could result in having ejaculate which contain no sperm. In your situation, there is only involvement of the right epididymis. The left side should not be impacted. However, if the epidiymis remains patent, sperm can usually still make their way through. Chalmydia is the most common std that causes epididymitis.
I think you should think twice about remaining sexually active at age 16. Careless actions as a teenager may stay with you a lifetime. If you do elect to continue having sex, for goodnes’s sake, use barrier protection. ...Read more
