Ihave fibromyalgia and back issues. Lately i have been having alot of anxiety. Is there a fast acting benzo that i can take with narcotics?

Do not combine Meds: Combining opioids with benzodiazepines can be very dangerous and life-threatening. Both medications can suppress your cardio-respiratory drive centers leading to death. Hi can you tell me why I have chronic. Fibromyalgia and I have not to go back to see the dr as they said its a life long condition ?

Interesting: As to the cause ; cure of #fibromyalgia, the jury is still out. The theory that this disorder represents a central nervous system pain sensory dysregulation is unproven. Peripheral pain sensor overload might be equally at hand. Chronic muscle spasm and a widespread population of muscle trigger points can be properly termed peripheral neuropathy pain generators. ...Read more

How would you recommend going about a fibromyalgia diagnosis? Just a diagnosis so far. Just curiosity about what to do next or what i can do.

History & exam: Rheumatologists, neurologists and internal medicine doctors/internists all diagnose and manage fibromyalgia. Although we don't have a test or study that definitively proves the diagnosis of fm, there are clinical criteria that make the diagnosis very probable. Also, excluding mimic syndromes that can look like fm improves the certainty of this diagnosis. ...Read more

Struggling with the fatigue that goes with fibromyalgia. Any pointers apart from exercising and diet?

Struggling with the fatigue that goes with fibromyalgia. Any pointers apart from exercising and diet?

Workup for fatigue: Since we don't know what mechanism's behind the fatigue in fibromyalgia it's hard to propose a good treatment. The best advice to give would be to make sure your doctor has considered ALL OTHER CAUSES OF FATIGUE of which there is a long list of possibilities. So, a full workup for fatigue should be performed before assuming it's the fibro. Let me know if you'd like a 1-1 consult. ...Read more
