How would you recommend going about a fibromyalgia diagnosis? Just a diagnosis so far. Just curiosity about what to do next or what i can do.
History & exam: Rheumatologists, neurologists and internal medicine doctors/internists all diagnose and manage fibromyalgia. Although we don't have a test or study that definitively proves the diagnosis of fm, there are clinical criteria that make the diagnosis very probable. Workup for fatigue: Since we don't know what mechanism's behind the fatigue in fibromyalgia it's hard to propose a good treatment. The best advice to give would be to make sure your doctor has considered ALL OTHER CAUSES OF FATIGUE of which there is a long list of possibilities.
