Garlic supplements: It depends on what effects you're seeking. But evidence is growing that garlic -- in both food & supplement form -- may help lower blood pressure. Is it ok to take garlic supplement after getting flu shot 5 days ago? It has anti - viral affect, can I take it or not?
OK to take: Garlic is promoted as beneficial for many things. The things for which the evidence is strongest is improving high blood pressure and preventing colon and stomach cancer if garlic is eaten (not supplements). The evidence for preventing viruses/colds is weaker. It should not interfere with desired antibody production following a flu shot. ...Read more

I would wonder why you are on that specific combination ...Read more

Ibuprofen toxicity?: You say you invested 1800 mg of Ibuprofen about 3 hours ago and you weigh about 48 kilograms so you took about 36 mg per kg at once. You'll probably just suffer from a stomach ache but it would be best if you shuffled off to the local casualty department and they might draw a blood level of ibuprofen and go from there. Your other important issue to address is why you did this? See a shrink pronto! ...Read more

My 4 yr old child has been having a very high fever. I would like to alternate acetaminophen and ibuprofen. How far apart should they be taken?
Busy work: When a kids fever is not responding to either Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen separately it is unlikely to do so if you alternate them. It does give you something to do, but I don't advise the pattern & I never wake a kid for either med. Concentrate of fluid needs & make the dpc aware of the illness. More kids are hospitalized for dehydration than fever. ...Read more

Prilosec should: Always be taken first in the day, 30 minutes before the first meal and preferably by itself.
