No; but poor diet ca: Vitamin deficiencies (more than 1) like those of which you speak come from a poor diet that often includes alcohol or cigarettes. All of those can, in turn, cause small cell lung cancer but not necessarily. B12 def: Are you vegetarian or vegan, they have B12 issues at times because B12 sources are animal. May also be ileitis or intestinal issues where B12 is absorbed ( if not pernicious anemia) or dietary/ age. Two issues: Early stage small cell lung cancer does not cause malabsorption. Detection with CT would depend on the size and location of the lesion. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats.
