My 51 yr old husband started taking tricor (fenofibrate) last week to lower triglycerides. Suddenly, ED has become a problem. Could it be a side effect of med?
Triglycerides are high, others are ok. Had serious bad reaction to tricor (fenofibrate). Anything natural that can bring trig. #'s down?

No: There were concerns decades ago about Clofibrate but they came to nothing. I searched the nih database for the past 20 years and found nothing, and it makes no sense biologically. There's a very nice monograph on wikipedia: http://en.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/protandim i can't comment on its safety and am certain, since it's not fda regulated, that there are no controlled trials. Preop blood work showed glucose at 111 fasting. Pcp is doing more bld.Work in 2 weeks. Never had this probelm. Take tricor (fenofibrate) for trigly. They were 258.
