My two month old has a stomach virus. Today's day 9. Blood work last Friday showed viral. Is it normal to last this long? She's been on pedialyte only

See a GI doctor: If this blood is actually in your stool and not just on the toilet paper you are bleeding from somewhere in your lower GI tract and that needs urgent investigation. Vomiting and have slight elevated WBC. ER Dr said viral gastroenteritis. Can virus raise WBC? Should I be worried?!! Other blood work was normal.
Viral infections: Slight elevations of WBC may occur with viral infections, but my also be falsely elevated due to dehydration from vomiting, or slightly high because of epinephrine and steroid release from the stimuli released during your physical illness. Is it possible to not catch a contagious stomach virus from someone you live with (don't share a room)?
Most of these viruses (eg: Norovirus) LIVE ON SURFACES thus HAND WASHING and NOT SHARING dishes, bathroom supplies are the only way to avoid the vurus. BLEACH clean all surfaces touched by the infected person!
