Have severe insomnia after starting Armour Thyroid for hypothyroid. Stopped med for 6 weeks to resolve insomnia. No success. Restart meds anyway?

Possible: It is uncommon in young pts for hypothyroidism to cause heart probs, but it def can cause cardiac issues. It cause a slow heart beat, which usually resolves with treatment. If left untreated hypothyroidism can lead to a cardiomyopathy (gen heart dysfunction). This is often reversible, but left untreated can lead to permanent cardiac damage and irreg heart beats.
