Thyroiditis: inflammation of the thyroid often impacts its function. TSH is usually a reflection of the thyroid present in the blood. When the thyroid is releasing a lot of hormone, it goes down and vice versa. The thyroid function only stabilize when the inflammation subsides or gets under controlled. ...Read more

I have been dx'd with chronic urticaria & hypothyroid. Now I have a red vasculitic rash on my face/neck (not butterfly, not hives). What is this?

Autoimmune: It could be that your hypothyroidism is related to hashimoto's thyroiditis which can be associated with chronic urticaria, did you check your thyroid antibodies? See internist: If you are taking enough thyroid pill, your fatigue is not related to it. Are you taking something like hydroxyzine or benadryl for your hives? If yes, these are the likely cause for your fatigue. You need to get a workup to rule out anemia and possibly another autoimmune disease or asthma.
