How Does Hyperthyroidism Make You Infertile
It differs: There is no definitive time period associated with infertility from infections, but generally it is with chronic infections that continue to occur and affect a persons fertility over quite some time (many months to years). It is rare for a few infections, adequately treated to cause fertility issues. This does however underscore the importance to always practice safe sex. Best wishes. ...Read more
Hello. : Hello. That question doesn't have a definitive answer. One person can have a stronger immune system than another. One thing is for certain, the longer you have untreated chlamydia; the higher the risk of damaging your reproductive system. The infection can spread to the uterus. The lining of the uterus can become damaged making it difficult for a fertilized egg to impant. Because the egg is usually fertilized while it is still inside the fallopian tube, scarring to the tube from chlamydia can prevent the egg from leaving the tube and cause an ectopic pregnancy. Remember chlamydia can be a silent disease. If you or anyone you know might have chlamydia they should be evaluated as soon as possible, so that they can be treated before there is too much damage. ...Read more
Tubal damage: The main impact (and it can be extremely significant) of chlamydia on female fertility is tubal damage. This includes adhesions ('scar') around the tubes and/or ovaries, thickening of the tubal walls and disruption of the cilia that line them, to partial or complete blockage. A hysterosalpingogram (hsg) is often the first step in evaluating tubal damage, whether from chlamydia or other causes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Tubes may be damaged: Chlamydia infections don't always cause infertility, but can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease which can cause damage to the fallopian tubes and even damage to the ovaries as well. This can increase the chances of difficulty getting pregnant, tubal pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy) or low egg supply (diminished ovarian reserve). Get treated asap and see a fertility md if you are trying to conceive. ...Read more
Stops their producti: Chemotherapy stops production of many cells which are normally produced daily. In the case of hair a break in the stem of the hair results as the old hair grow outwards and there is no new hair production for several days following chemotherapy. So the older hair start falling after 3-4 weeks of starting chemotherapy(in most cases, but some chemo drugs spare the hair entirely). ...Read more
Genetic & sporadic: Hi. Congenital hypothyroidism left untreated is disastrous for the patient (cretinism). In the US, we screen all neonates for hypothyroidism. The only patient with cretinism I've seen was born in Mexico, where they don't screen neonates; it was tragic. There are known genes that can cause congenital hypothyroidism either in the homozygous recessive state or heterozygous dominant state. Screen!!! ...Read more

Goiter: It means the gland is larger than normal. The most common cause of goiter worldwide is a lack of iodine in the diet. Probably not: Hypothyroidism or raynaud's disease are not known to increase the absorption of alcohol from the stomach, so should not make a person get drunk faster. However, if a person feels cold or has cold hands, he may drink more or drink faster, because he wants the alcohol to warm up his hands. Alcohol is a vasodilator, but extra blood flowing to the skin and hands will lower one's core body temperature! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Many ways: Depression can make you feel sad, irritable, out of sorts, lethargic, sleepy, helpless, hopeless, worthless, guilty, lacking in self-esteem, and basically like giving up. It can take away your appetite for food as well as for sex, it can take away your ability to experience pleasure as well as to anticipate pleasure. It can rob you of joy for life and make you feel empty and abandoned. If you slip into a blackhole like depression, you can get to a point where you see no way out and you see no point in trying to find a way out. You can get to a point where you no longer feel any emotional tone or spiritual tone and it can take away any sense of belonging or attachments to others around you. Become focused on your past and think of nothing but failures in your life. You cannot look toward the future and see any brightness. Colors can become drab. You can feel as if lost in a sea of self-pity. Self-doubt pervades your every thought. You can feel lifeless, emotionally dead, and totally inadequate. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
