How Does H Cg Diet Plan Work
Please explain what do you know about the hCG diet plan and where can I find some good tasting hCG diet recipes?
HCG diet: The HCG diet has not been proven to be effective for long term weight loss. It suggests that you reduce calories to 500 calories and take a HCG supplement extracted from the urine of pregnant women. There has been one meta-analysis (pooled study) which evaluated several studies of patients on HCG. The study concluded that HCG is not effective for weight loss. ...Read more
refers to all the physical matter humans (like all living creatures) must take in on a recurring basis; only partially for energy. Like all life on planet humans are open systems which keep tearing down their structure & require intake of atoms/molecules from which to rebuild their structure. Intestinal lining cells replaced ~every 3 days. CaPO4 in bones ~every 6 years, ...Read more
No; save your money: The HCG diet has a person eating 500 calories a day for more than a month. That's just one big slice of pizza a day. A 4-month old baby eats 500 calories a day. Anybody on 500 calories a day is on a starvation diet and will lose weight. It doesn't sound safe. Extremely low calorie diets don't work because the weight comes back when one starts eating again. Long-term lifestyle changes are needed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
NO: The more I have investigated the otc hcg--which is not HCG . A pregnancy hormone-similar to lh/progesterone effects. The rx hcg may be real human chorionic gonadotropin, but we do not understand the effects it may have on patients---esp if they would have an unknown early cancer? Do not take any chances. Apparently, you can get rx HCG online by a doc------not o-k. ...Read more
Not very well.: The weight loss is due to the severe caloric restriction. In men with low testosterone and normal testicles, it may work better because the HCG will increase the testosterone level. In women, HCG may increase progesterone. Higher Progesterone may lead to less anxiety and therefore less eating. Overall, smart eating plus increased activity is a better choice. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Absolutely: You must do the diet under supervision of a qualified physician, injectable HCG not drops, and strict adherence to the original 500 calorie diet and not a modified version of it with higher calories. You can lose 1-2 lbs of fat per day. Some physicians call this diet dangerous or won't work, but lack an understanding about the diet and it's proven safety. In use since 1950s. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Most people believe: the reason it "works" is because of the severe calorie restriction--500 kcal/day-- associated with it. Theoretically, HCG may exert some appetite suppressant qualities which make it easier to only eat 500 calories. A pregnancy hormone,HCG is a pro-hormone and may promote other hormones, i.e. thyroid. Most authorities are skeptical of its safety and effectiveness. Target: 1200 cal/day + exercise. ...Read more
HCGdiet looks unsafe: The HCG diet has a person eating 500 calories a day for more than a month. That's just one big slice of pizza a day. A 4-month old baby eats 500 calories a day. Scam: This is a very-low-calorie diet with an expensive placebo. You'll lose weight by restricting calories, and spend money for something that will do you no good. Ask your personal physician whether a crash diet is really right for you. Better, start hanging out with people who are into physical fitness and join in. Unlike a crash diet, this will result in real, sustained good results. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I'm a busy mom with 4 kids and a job i don't have time to work out is the hCG diet a safe and effective alternative?
HCG: My philosophy is that the best way to lose weight is not by dieting or a pill, but by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, & start doing some cardiovascular exercise. I know it's tough with the kids, but this a better solution than hcg. ...Read more

NO: I get asked this question a lot. I tell patients think about what you're doing exactly: 1. Taking a hormone that can modulate other hormones and is only elevated during pregnancy (un-natural) 2. You're ingesting merely 500 calories, some docs have modified it to 750 calories. But still too low for any person. It works as an immediate, fast tool for weight loss but not for good! ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
It could: Hcg is a hormone normally found in high levels during pregnancy. Injections of this hormone, when not pregnant, can throw a wrench into the normal hormonal functioning and interfere with fertility. Furthermore, the diet works as a starvation diet, and that's not healthy and is potentially extremely dangerous. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Yes but...: Hcg is not likely going to cause any harm but weight loss is due to the severe caloric restriction.
