How Does Aleve Help Arthritis
Is it normal for doc to give Aleve for TMJ arthritis pain that's severe? My doc refused stronger mess even though i told him nsaids don't help.
Get to the source: Meds often mask the true source of the problem or the trigger points that are causing your pain. Many of my new patients come into my office already heavily medicated (anti-depressants, pain meds, anti-anxiety, muscle relaxers;) with no real solution to solving their constant pain problems. You should have a thorough exam and evaluation. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
What is better for arthritis inflammation and pain?I have been taking 3250 mg of Bufferin(aspirin) and Dr. suggested Aleve 2 at night 2 at morning?
See answer: I am hoping you meant to place the # 325mg NOT 3250! The latter would be way too high. I would take your doctors advice as s/he is caring for you and can best deliver advice to you situation. Generally speaking aleve is a good medication, but as stated, this needs to be addressed with your treating Doctor. Best wishes to you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

First: : First: rest assured that the idea that computers can harm your hands is overstated and likely a myth. The symptoms are nonspecific and it's not clear what you mean by "crack". There are some common finger conditions that your primary care doctor or a hand surgeon could check you for, and the vast, vast majority are benign. Remember, pain makes us prepare for the worst because it was an evolutionary advantage to have such a "pain alarm", but just like the smoke alarm in the kitchen, most pain alarms are false alarms. You're going to be able to rely on your hands! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Ask your doctor: Aleve can cause a number of problems that can show up as pain under the left rib cage. These include peptic ulcer and coronary artery problems. Don't know which blood levels would be affected, but you really should press your doctor for an explanation of your symptoms and of the abnormal blood test. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
early rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. has me taking 2 Aleve twice a day no other drugs yet. Is it safe to get flu shot without making joints ache more!
I take naproxen for seronegative arthritis but i get severe flare-ups I have carpel tunnel and steroid injections unsuccessful. Hands agony help?
I read that when using Naproxen for chronic conditions (i.e.arthritis), it may take 2 weeks to get the full benefit. Is the same true of all NSAIDs?
More or less: Naproxen has a fairly short half life. Other NSAIDs such as nabumetone or oxaprozin have much longer half lives and in that case it will take the medication longer to reach a steady state. None the less, two weeks to a month is usually plenty of time to decide if a NSAID is helping or not. ...Read more
