14dys prior to cycle: A great way to measure ovulation is by tracking it on the calendar. A woman will ovulate 14 days before her cycle. Ask a pharmacist for an "ovulation kit" and for directions on its use. If you have regular 28 to 30 day menstrual cycles, it is quite probable that you ovulate 12 to 14 days before the onset of menstrual bleeding. ...Read more
What day in a womans 28 day cycle does she ovulates? Is it possible to ovulate early? How long does sperm survive? How long an egg is available?
Around mid-cycle: For example, if a woman has very regular 28-day cycles, Day 1 would be her first day of period bleeding, Day 14 would be her estimated ovulation date (so have sex once or twice a day from Day 10 through Day 16 if trying to get pregnant). Her next period will be due 28 days after her last period started. She can just grab a calendar and count the days. ...Read more
If a woman has a 28 day cycle and wants to know when she is ovulating when does she starting counting?
Am not sure of ?: The normal menstrual cycle is divided into the follicular and luteal phases, with ovulation occurring in the middle. In normal cycles the luteal phase is usually ~14d+/-2d. So, for a "normal" 28 day cycle ovulation is on day 14 (28-14=14). For a "normal" 25d cycle ovulation would be on ~d10 (25-14=10), and similarly for a "normal" 32d cycle it would be on ~d18 (32-14=18). Good luck. ...Read more
