How Do You Reduce Sex Drive In Teenage Girls
Make Good Choices: The libido (or, "sex drive") is a natural component of our physiology. It is not a good idea to try and artificially reduce the libido, since this can have adverse physiological and psychological affects later in life. If a teen is having trouble with their sexual urges, it is best to have a conversation about making good choices.See 1 more doctor answer
I fantasize fat girls n my wife is skinny hence no sex drive and ed. How can a psychologist help me. As m not able to get satisfied with her sexually?
Skinny vs fat: It sounds like you're making it your wife's problem [being 'skinny'] that you feel "no sex drive and ed" with her. A psychologist or sex therapist might be able to help you understand that there's more to sexual attraction than the shape or size of one's body. Was your wife heavier when you first met her? It seems you have plenty to discuss in therapy, and perhaps your relationship could grow.See 1 more doctor answer
Female. Had high libido between 16-18 y/o. I'm 19 now & I loss my libido. What happened to me? Is it abnormal to have low sex drive as a teen?
Could be due to: Age, your partner or just normal aging process. Getting older and maturing might be calming you down. Its very hard to say. People's idea of low and high vary too. What is high for you sex every night? And low is now sex once a week, which might be perfectly normal. Try not to panic and accept yourself for who you are and find a partner who does too. Good luck. Look at cost of kids: Well, that's an interesting question. Do you believe you are in OVERDRIVE as it were or do you feel your drive actually interferes with your routine daily activity or work? If that's the case then, you may best be served by speaking with a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Sex drive: There might be nothing wrong with your sex drive at all, but what you do with this can be an issue. If acting on sexual desires in ways that puts you in conflict with others, or that distracts you from other important life activities like work, school, family, etc., you might need to see a psychiatrist about sexual addictions or other issues.See 1 more doctor answer
No: Not likely. Probably temporary event, should resolve as treatment and healing progresses.
Beta blockers: Age alone can do it. The meds also can.
You can: The problem is that there isn't a medication on the market that just reduces sex drive. Certainly some things can affect it, but they usually have indications. Behavioral therapy may help more. The use of the birth control pill may slightly effect your testosterone level. Sex drive has mulitple levels. Its brain chemistry plus hormonal. Some antidepressants also alter sex drive
No: There are medications used for other purposes which have libido reduction as a side-effect. I am not aware of any medication specifically approved for that purpose, nor do I foresee that happening in the near future. There is not much demand for that.
Is getting rid of one's sex drive possible? I want to reduce if not eliminate my sexual thoughts, desires, and feelings.
We are hardwired to: Select mates to procreate. Sexuality is part of life. The behavioral choices we make in response to sexual thoughts and feelings are the important part of the equation. Healthy lifestyle can bring balance to your life. You can be celibate if you freely choose it but you are young. Talk w/spiritual leader, psychologist, or trusted friend. Peace and good health.
Yes: Best is buproprion - wellbutrin (bupropion). It is primarily noradrenergic in nature. Most antidepressants that are serotonergic adversly affect sexual activity, by reduced drive, delayed or blocked orgasm or in men erectile dysfunction or impotence. Wellbutrin (bupropion) is not 100%, but certainly most often not a hindrance and is often energizing. Dry mouth, lowered seizure threshold, elevated BP are issues to watch.See 1 more doctor answer
Does it mean mania or physical disease that a woman has sex drive over 15 days in a month from 30-45? No sex partner. Should I take pills to reduce it
It depends.: Mania is defined by a cluster of symptoms that can include hyper-sexuality or other behaviors for period of a week or more, please have an evaluation by a mental health provider as soon as possible. Mania is treated with medications to prevent both the up and down swings typically seen in patients with Bipolar disorder. Good luck!
There are: Literally hundreds of herbal supplements. Please specify which herbal supplement you are asking about and then we will attempt to answer the question for you. Thank you.
Can cyproterone acetate not only reduce but eliminate my sex drive? If not, what can? (drugs, surgeries, ect.)
I am a 20 y/o female I have a higher sex drive than I think to be normal. I want to reduce my sex drive; I have PCOS if that is a factor in this.
I want to take cyproterone acetate to reduce my sex drive but I'm afraid that without androgens i'll be feminine and unambitious. Is that true?
No sense: That makes absolutely no sense. Cyproterone is prescribed for elevated testosterone with your pcos. It won't eliminate, just help lower, your androgen level. Have you tried metformin which treats the basic problem causing pcos (insulin resistance) and can help normalize menses and even restore fertility in many women?
