How do I get rid of a cyst on the back of my neck without surgery?

Is surgery the only way to get rid of a cyst?

It depends on the situation. But draining a cyst may not always get rid of the cyst. It may only collapse it. The only way technically to get rid of the cyst wall is surgery. But that may not always be necessary. ...Read more

Keep on getting ingrown cysts in groin area. Why is this? How to prevent it and treatment other than surgery to get rid off it???

It can cause folliculitis or inflammation of hair follicles. If you avoid shaving close that usually solves the problem. Also you can see you doctor and they prescribe an antibiotic which helps it clear up faster. I hope I answered your question :) ...Read more

I am 35 yrs old and I have a dermoid cyst and my period is irregular. Is there any other way to get rid of this cyst other than surgery?

Nope....: Unfortunately, you need surgery to remove the cyst. A dermoid cyst is a cystic teratoma that contains developmentally mature skin complete with hair follicles and sweat glands, sometimes clumps of long hair, and often pockets of sebum, blood, fat, bone, nails, teeth, eyes, cartilage, and thyroid tissue. Because it contains mature tissue, a dermoid cyst is almost always benign. ...Read more

I have a sebaceous cyst on neck. Was given cephalexin at ER because it caused a skin abscess(?).Will this get rid of it, or will i still need surgery?

Sebaceous cyst: The cephalexin was prescribed to treat the infection. This will likely improve the swelling/size of the cyst, but will not get rid of it. The only way to get rid of it is through complete excision, which can often be performed in the office setting under local anesthesia. ...Read more
