Llkely 20% 5yr life.: The throat cancer may have a decent outlook, but an advanced stomach cancer where the disease has likely spread to the lymph nodes and is one step away from distant metastases has about a 20% 5 year survival at best. Unlikely to cause CA: If you know you have mild gastritis then it sounds like you must have already had an upper endoscopy to give you that specific diagnosis. If not then you should have an egd. It is unlikely that if you just have mild irritation of the stomach lining (gastritis) that you will develop stomach cancer.
