Stage 3 ovarian cancer diagnosed 2 weeks ago spread to abdomen. Drained fluid only. Docs say liver&kidney too poor for chemo. What are next options?

Stage IV: If they said the liver and kidney are involved- that means it is a stage IV disease. Ovarian cancer is in general sensitive to chemotherapy and for stage iv- chemotherapy is the mainstay therapy. What do you mean by poor for chemo? You have many other medical problems- or you could not tolerate therapy? Option beside chemo would palliative care i.e. Hospice care. D/w ur oncologist and gbu. ...Read more
