How do men have sex with others who have HIV and they know it?

How do men have sex with others who have HIV and they know it?

Foolishly: Many people engage in behaviors which are known as potentially harmful (smoking, drinking, cheating on exams, using illicit drugs, etc.). While doing these things the factors driving their actions may outweigh logic. In the case of HIV disease, many gay men have intentionally exposed themselves so as to fit in with the remainder of their local community. Denial is a strong phenomenon. ...Read more

Hiv (Definition)

Hiv infection is caused by a retrovirus....This retrovirus binds to CD4 cells (for the most part). You may detect the virus by several different methods. Can u get HIV from anal sex but both men don't have HIV

Can u get HIV from anal sex but both men don't have HIV

Think: If both men don't have HIV then no transmission. However as you know there are other STDS and there is a window of time from exposure to HIV to HIV showing up positive in the lab tests. This window can range from 9 days to 3-6 months. So that is why condoms and PrEP is recommended. Learn the facts. Go to CDC PrEP Resources Page. ...Read more

Can a person contract HIV from a fleshlight aka "a brand of sex toy designed for penetration which is primarily marketed to heterosexual men"?

Can a person contract HIV from a fleshlight aka "a brand of sex toy designed for penetration which is primarily marketed to heterosexual men"?

No, but...: I wouldn't borrow anyone else's. Use your own. I suppose it is possible for transmission, but the afflicted person would have to use it just before the uninfected, as the HIV virus does not live long outside the body. Again, don't chance it. Don't borrow someone else's, and if you get one yourself don't lend it out. Save money and use your hand. At least you know where it's been... ...Read more

Can you get hiv from a men with an unknown status if had sex (penetration for a minute) then use condom?

Can you get hiv from a men with an unknown status if had sex (penetration for a minute) then use condom?

Yep!: It's not very likely...but while the duration of penetration may be a factor, any penetration could transmit viral particles. Fortunately, female receptive sex is not associated with as high transmission rates as other types of sexual behaviors. Extreme care would suggest you have an HIV test in 4-6 weeks. Practice safe sex at every encounter! ...Read more

What are chances for getting std/ HIV from one and only unprotected sex ( men with women vaginal)?

What are chances for getting std/ HIV from one and only unprotected sex ( men with women vaginal)?

Unprotected sex: Chances of getting std/hiv from just one episode of unprotected sex are much greater than if you never had unprotected sex. Plus, it places your future partners at greater risk, too. Of course, this assumes that you know nothing about your partner's status. You can't catch something that your partner doesn't have but that implies an element of trust. Just in case, wear a condom each/every time. ...Read more

Had unprotective sex w ex-GF. In past year, she had unprotective sex w 2 other men. Says she's been tested for HIV/STD after each and is NEG. I got tested for STD and is OK. Should I be worried? Should I do PrEP? Last time I had sex w her on 1/24.

Low risk, no PrEP: The tests for STDs and HIV are very accurate, so you can be pretty sure your partner doesn't have any of the infections for which she was tested. And this sounds like a low risk situation for HIV, which remains less common ithan you might think among straight singles in the US. You don't need PrEP and most doctors wouldn't be willing to prescribe it in this situation. But get in the condom habit! ...Read more

Interesting stats: Let's assume that the figure is true, one would assume that most people have >1 sexual encounter and partners. Simplistically if you have had 20 encounters with a HIV infected partner, your risk will increase to 1:125. The risk of HIV transmission also depends on the person's viral load , how much blood to blood contact (the more vigorous , the more blood) & one's immunity. ...Read more

I'd anal unprotected sex with a HIV negative men, after i get white tongue sore throat fever n tired,am i infected HIV or anyother sexual disease?

Should get checked: The problem in the world is that not everyone is truthful-- how do we know for sure your partner was negative? I am concerned you have a pharyngitis but it could be one of any number of infections. Acute HIV can look just like "a sore throat" so I hope u can see a doc. Of course you could just have mono, Strep or another virus but testing for HIV is very important. Your doc can sort it out I hope ...Read more

How many cases happend of HIV by only receiving oral sex from man?

Rare if ever: Oral sex is a very inefficient way of transmitting hiv, giving or receiving. Still, it's best to be safe especially with a guy you don't now, and there are plenty of other things that can be transmitted this way -- famously gonorrhea for the recipient. The burning question for you is, "am i infected?" you've asked here & have a right to a quick check from your physician. Best wishes. ...Read more
