Truly compulsive behaviors are ones that the person feels driven to perform in response to an obsession, or according to rules that must be applied rigidly. They're aimed at preventing or reducing distress, or preventing some dreaded event or situation. These behaviors are clearly excessive for the intended purpose. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have bumps on the head of my penis. Can my thinking from obessive compulsive disorder cause bumps on the head of my penis?
That sounds powerful: A man's thoughts do not have the power to raise bumps on the head of his penis. Some rashes, such as hives from anxiety, may happen in relation to intense thoughts and emotions. A person sometimes may be in a heightened state of awareness, and be better able to see the bumps, but the bumps were probably already there. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Habit/habit disorder: If your child understands his habit is "not okay" with family, friends & teachers, but persists, he may need evaluation for anxiety +/- impulsivity. Manage it: You're going to pick your acne. That's a fact of life. This isn't why you continue to have acne -- you have it because it's being neglected. If topical benzoyl peroxide as tolerated hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician who can give you prescription-strength Rx as a supplement. If you're offered Isotretinoin for severe acne, consider being brave and doing it. Cheers. ...Read more

Nosebleeding is commonly a result of picking. And if it is done in a rough way, she can even pick a hole through the septum, the divider between the 2 sides of the nose. Her parents and doctor should talk to her about it. ...Read more

My 8 year old daughter has been getting unexplained nose bleeds, sometimes hard to stop. She is healthy and has no other symtom do not know what triggers the nose bleeds. She does not pick her nose.

This is usually worse in winter (with heating) or summer (with ac) as everything is drier then. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
