Not sure its IBS...: Hard pellet-like (scybalous) stool, associated with passage of mucus, suggests several possibilities: constipation-variant irritable bowel syndrome (c-ibs), rectal dyssynergia due to altered rectal tone/sensation, partial obstruction likely due to adhesions. I have ibs.I realize that dairy(lactose) is the culprit.I rate attacks as light, mild, severe.Severe attacks i can lose four/6 lbs.Can this happen?

You are not....: ....Describing ibs. You are describing lactose intolerance. If you have a distinct source, then avoid that source. That said, it is possible to lose as much weight as you describe from diarrhea. It is also a bad thing, and should stimulate you to not eat any dairy. ...Read more
