Nothing special: Keep the area clean, and watch for signs of enlargement or infection (tired skin, tenderness). If either if these things occur, see your doctor. If you ever chamge your mind, surgical excision is usually done with local anesthesia as an outpatient. Recovery is typically short, and risk of complications low. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Extract: Many times the hair will work its way out, but sometimes, it will need to be extracted with a sterile needle by a physician or nurse. If an infection is present oral antibiotics may be necessary. Warm compresses and topical antibiotics like Bacitracin or neosporin could help for mild cases. I don't think noxema will help. Laser hair removal is very effective for preventing ingrowns. ...Read more
