I been on bed rest for 5 months. I haven't really been on my feet that much. I feel faint if i stand for more than 10 minutes. Can this be the cause?

Yes it could.: You are certianly deconditioned.Cant be sure that's the whole story but that mush bed rest is equivalent to years or aging.Slowly increace your up time. ...Read more

Chest pain, SOB: Signs of pulmonary embolism include chest pain and shortness of breath. This is an emergency. Preventive steps while on bed rest, aside from taking anticoagulant medication, include frequently flexing and extending the ankles, wearing compression or support stockings, and having the use of a pneumatic compression device. Try : Try to find out why you had these problems. Did a medicine cause it or was it related to vomiting, diarrhea? Get a copy of your lab tests to review with your doctor. It shows your levels and the normals. If your levels are normal now and you still have symptoms something else may be causing those symptoms other than the sodium and potassium.
