How Do I Decrease Cell Phone Radiation
Ear piece, bluetooth: Many cell phone users use a hands-free blue tooth earpiece and set the phone down. Since radiation normally decreases with the square of the distance between objects, some cell phone users hold the phone farther away or use the speaker phone option. Personally, i like the ear piece best. Please note that no definitive proof has linked cell phone radiation to damage yet. Be careful driving! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
This is light of extremely short wavelengths typically produced either among the stars / in cosmic rays or by radioactive element decay. Gamma rays form the background of normal radiation in which we all live; it is substantially greater than the exposure we get from imaging scans or should get from ...Read more
It's not: This isn't the wavelength that damages molecules. The studies that purport to show danger are obvious junk science -- retrospective work. In the biggest one, the tumors were more common on the opposite side from the phone. Other junk cancer scares proved to be secretly funded by tobacco companies and i wouldn't be surprised if this was what's happening here. Enjoy your technology. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Why Risk It?: No one really knows if cell-phone radiation causes brain cancer, alzheimers, adhd, etc. But we do know, without a doubt, that cell phones compete with healthier forms of communication; discourage exercise; expose to garbage from the media; and cause fatal accidents. Notable exceptions exist, but most kids (and many adults!) might be better off without carrying a cell phone. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
No: It's fearmongering with no basis. Radiation from cell phones isn't the kind that damages genes. You might as well be afraid of songs on the radio. The studies are junk -- an obscure piece using some baby mice, and a weird study in which there were 10% more brain tumors on the side OPPOSITE the cell phone. If Mr. Putin isn't afraid, you shouldn't be either. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Zero: There is no documented risk of cell phones to babies. There are always a few who like to speculate that anything we do has risk.We have all sorts of radio waves and other radiation generated from the sun that travels through us on a daily basis whether we have a decoder/receiver unit for them or not. ...Read more
Unknown: There is not enough known about long-term effects of low power microwave exposure to tissues to know what happens. But there is a recent study published that reports cases of atypical breast cancer in young women where the tumors occurred in the same area where they kept the cell phones tucked in their bras. It is reasonable to keep your cell phone away from your body. ...Read more
It is possible: The cellphone manufactures say no. Some animal studies say yes. We may never know. It is hard to do a study on human gonads (any volunteers?). To be safe, carry it in a holster on your hip. ...Read more
