SI joint is cause.: When one has SI joint pian, it is caused by a small but excessive roaotion forward (anterior) of the hipbone at the joint. This causes pain, irritation of other structures. Richard DonTigny, a physical therapist, developed this idea and the simple exercises. He taught me 10 years ago; i find that VERY FEW physicians are aware of the SI joint. Do you have a second opinion on a knee problem? I had knee surgery 2 years ago to remove a plica band. It has been all fine and dandy until lately when i started exercising it more. I have been back to my ortho that operated and knows my knee pretty well

It : It sounds like you may be dealing with moderate to severe arthritis as well as a possible injury to ligament or tendon. The x-rays and MRI should be diagnostic. Ra is a possibility however multiple joints are usually involved. If it is found that arthritis is present and severe, then you may need a knee replacement. Not necessarily...: It depends on how the severity. It could be sprained, or it could have more damage. Can you walk on it at all? You can initially try rice (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) for a couple of days. Taking Ibuprofen or Naproxen would be ok also.
