Go see your doctor: When someone reports throwing up something that looks like coffee grinds, we worry about digested blood in the stomach, eg bleeding ulcer. Therefore, if you're reporting coffee grind appearance to your stool, it's a good idea to go see your family doc who can arrange for a repeat endoscopy since lots of Aspirin can lead to bleeding ulcers. Esophageal spasms: esophageal spasms can be a sign that your GERD might not be under good enough control. Anything that: Causes increased intra abdominal pressure is bad for gerd. Nothing is a guarantee, but changing your posture is simple enough--try it, maybe it would help your symptoms, even if it doesn't make it go away completely. Your posture is probably bad for your back anyway. ...Read more

Omeprazole: I'd suggest you try Omeprazole otc (generic and cheaper than copay in many instances) for 7 days. If the pain resolves it is almost certainly gerd. If less than 75% improvement you should see your primary care provider and discuss. ...Read more

Mobic (meloxicam) & Aspirin: Mobic (Meloxicam) is an NSAID like Celebrex, (celecoxib) Motrin, Aleve, Diclofenac, etc. Has your kidney function been checked regularly these past 2 years? Normally folks aren't hungry with GERD symptoms.Usually complain of nausea, indigestion,burning in throat, and chest, etc. Unfortunately taking NSAIDs predisposes you to GERD symptoms.
