How to tell if I broke I tip of my elbow?

Elbow tip: Is the pain still there, or improving? If it is getting better, you probably did not break it. I do recommend going in to get x-rays. That is the only way to know for sure.

Can you tell me how to make my elbows stop hurting while I do push ups.?

Can you tell me how to make my elbows stop hurting while I do push ups.?

Rest: Sounds like you need to take a break from push/ups (2-3 weeks) until your symptoms subside. You may be developing tendinitis of the triceps and rest, NSAIDs (Ibuprofen) and topical pain cream are usually helpful. If you want to continue w/ your push/ up workouts widen your base to work your pecs a bit more than your triceps. Best of Luck!

My daughters has a painful growth on her elbow resembling a corn...It looks like it has fluid in it. Can you tell me what this might be?

Probably a boil: A boil is an infected growth that occurs from rubbing an area or getting dirt into an area, especially after sweating. See your doctor as he will most probably lance the lesion and get the pus out. This will make it feel better quickly along with some antibiotics.

I was just wondering how can I tell if an elbow is dislocated?

You would know: If you dislocated your elbow, you would have excruciating pain and be unable to move it. But is not subtle at all. Even if you likely did not dislocate it, if you think you otherwise injured it you would be wise to be seen and evaluated.

How can I tell if my elbow is broken or sprained?

How can I tell if my elbow is broken or sprained?

Elbow sprain: Typically sprains heal over 6-8 weeks, however severe sprains or complete tears sometimes require reconstructive surgery. Initial rest and ice with anti inflammatories help. If your elbow moves but is very painful, or if you cannot move it at all, I would see your orthopedist to rule out a fracture. Fractures may having a catching or crunching feeling when trying to move your elbow.

Please tell me how long it takes for to recover from a broken elbow?

Weeks to months: This can be a tough injury to recover from, mainly due to the work/time required to regain strength and range of motion. The key to recovery is range of motion - in most cases, you should begin range of motion at approximately 2 weeks, and subsequently progress to more aggressive rom as the bone heals. Typically a hinged elbow brace is used to protect the fracture while allowing range of motion.
