Soft tissue fillers can include in-office injections of radiesse, restylane, (dermal fillers) or juvederm (for example). These are all resorbable so if you don't like the look it will reverse itself with time (usually in about 6-12 months). Another option is facial fat grafting (also known as lipostructure) in which fat is harvested from elsewhere in your body (e.g. Abdomen, thighs, or hips) and then carefully injected into the areas of the face needing augmentation. The fat grafts that "take" should be as permanent as the normal fat that is already in your face.
