How Can You Reduce Sgpt Level And Improve Fatty Liver
This organ plays a major role in metabolism and has a number of functions in the body, including glycogen storage, decomposition of red blood cells, plasma protein synthesis, hormone production, and detoxification. It lies below the diaphragm in the abdominal-pelvic region of the abdomen. It produces bile, an alkaline compound which aids in digestion via the emulsification of ...Read more
Fatty liver: You can start with decreasing dietary carbohydrates and increasing your daily exercise to 30 at least 5 days a week. One of the more common causes of fatty liver is a diet high in carbohydrates and fats. This means decreasing breads (naans for example) and rice and also fired foods. Good luck. Eat more protein and vegetables. Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
27 years old female (asian), diagnosed with a fatty liver having sgpt level of 315. I don't drink or smoke. What can I take for pain and discomfort?
Maybe new diagnosis?: In my experience, simple fatty liver seldom causes liver function tests to elevate to the degree you describe (what is the "normal" range for your lab?) how long have your tests been high? Have you had a liver biopsy? Have your doctors ruled out mitigating factors for macrovesicular fat: infectious, nutritional, metabolic, drug and substance-related? Is your fatty liver microvesicular instead? Read more
A health checkup showed my sgpt level was 342. An ultrasound showed an early fatty liver infiltration. What can be further effects of the same?
Fix this now: I'm very glad this was found and thankfully fixing this up will probably save your health. No alcohol for now; you are likely to be tested for hepatitis b and c, autoimmune hepatitis, hemochromatosis and wilson's; each is very treatable if diagnosed on time, lethal if missed. Or your enzymes may be up and liver fatty because it's time for a switch to an intensive aerobic fitness lifestyle. Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
How to reduced fatty liver and sgpt 430 for nonalcoholic person, doctor diagnosed fatty liver with unexplained reason high sgpt?
My doctor gave me rosvastatin - calcium to reduce cholestrol, but I have fatty liver with sgpt 139. Will this make worst?
Maybe not: The statins can make liver enzymes rise but a low elevation is ok and is not a reason to stop the med. Fatty liver may improve with cholesterol lowering med, or at least may not get worse. You have to monitor liver tests while on Rosuvastatin to ensure they don't get worse but I would try it. Read more
Left arm pain, heart burning but it goes away if I passed the gas, I have level 1 fatty liver and SWOT and SGPT high. Is it for gas or heart 33 yrs?
Here are some...: Are you a 33-y-o man? I applauded your detailed observation in noticing the relief of left arm pain and heartburn after passing gas. If constantly in pattern, gas-related bowel distention and pressure could induce temporary physical irritation to regional or local nerve endings which are inter-related with nerve distribution to left arm and lower esophagus or stomach. Your poor liver function. ... Read more
I am 32 years old and my SGOT reading is 334 and SPT is 105. Bilirubin, Albumin, GGT and Alkaline Phosphate are all normal. Ultrasound report - Fatty Liver? What could be happening? I've had elevated levels of SGPT and SGOT previously but never in the 3 d
It depends upon: What is CAUSING it! A variety of "culprits" are alcohol on excess, certain medications, obesity (moderately severe) and these and other possible reasons can be ruled out with a complete GI evaluation first step, your PCP (Primary Care Provider) who can order some LIVER FUNCTION TESTS and depending up those results a Liver Biopsy by a Board Certified Gastroenterologist would be the next step... Fatty Liver: Fatty liver represents an increase in fat deposits in the hepatocytes (liver cells) and causes the transaminase enzymes (ast and alt, or SGOT and sgpt) to increase. It is often caused by alcohol, obesity, or diabetes and the elevated enzyme levels can come down to normal if those causative factors are improved. Read more

Excess fat in liver: "fatty liver" describes a pathological condition in which liver cells store excess amounts of lipid (fat). See your doctor for an evaluation of why your son might have this, or if he actually does. It is rare in children. Read more
My sgot is 38 and sgpt is 75.5... Doctor told it is because of fatty liver... What precaution and what kind of diet I should have?
Beyond diet: I will assume that alcohol, medication, hepatitis b / c, wilson's, hemochromatosis, autoimmune hepatitis and antitrypsin deficiency have been ruled out. Like most other diseases, diet is not the key to managing this. While you will do well to avoid very greasy, salty and sugary stuff, the key to your recovery may well be a return to a focus on aerobic fitness. Read more

Hello, my sgpt is 113, sgot 50. No hepa b or c. I have a fatty liver. What is the best medication to normalize my enzyme in 1 month? Thanks
No meds for Liver: There are no medications to heal the liver. Honestly. You must change your life, your diet and your weight. You must avoid anything else that can stress the liver like tylenol (acetaminophen) and Acetaminophen products, no alcohol. Please use this wake up call to get healthy. You need your liver to grow old. Read more
I'm 28 and no cholesterol. But have fatty liver and sgpt sgot both high. What will be the reason?
Fatty liver.: Those with a fatty liver should generally limit fat intake, limit alcohol intake and lose weight (if there's weight to lose) via proper diet and regular exercise. That being said, it would be OK to treat yourself to a fatty meal every once in a while, meaning once a week or two. Realize that all meals will have some fat in them, so it's not like you're completely avoiding fat otherwise. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
