Just a cold?: The best way to tell if it's just a cold is by how long the symptoms last. There should be stuffy, runny nose for anywhere from 3 - 7 days. Age: If your baby is less than 3 months of age or has symptoms like persistent vomiting, difficulty breathing or feeding with decreased wet diapers I would have the baby seen now.
