I have a tattoo which is getting me really down to the stage i won't go out. I tried removing it myself burned and blistering? What shall I do :(

Start with a psychia: Your willingness to do yourself harm is alarming. I'm not an expert, but i think you may have borderline personality disorder for which new and exciting treatments are now available(e.g., dialectic behavior therapy). On the other hand, your desire to be rid of a tattoo is understandable. More and more centers with high tech means of tattoo removal are available and can be found easily online. ...Read more

How can I tell whether my belly is bloated, or if I have just gained some weight(really quickly)?

How can I tell whether my belly is bloated, or if I have just gained some weight(really quickly)?

Check waist size: To determine if you are "bloated" (defined: abdominal distension), compare your baseline abdominal circumference (when not bloated) against a remeasurement when you feel bloating. The same comparison can be made to assess weight gain (check before & after scale weights). However, weights & abdominal circumference may vary throughout the day appropriate to food ingestion, laxation, water retention. ...Read more

Can I realign my pelvic at home? It has happened to me before but do I need the chiropractor for it since I know how he did it?

Can I realign my pelvic at home? It has happened to me before but do I need the chiropractor for it since I know how he did it?

Get his blessing: I suppose you could try but I would have concern that you are not able to do it exactly the way he did it, of which he is trained for. It's possible you could actually cause more injury if not done right. I might suggest at least one visit to him to see if he could teach you a safe way of readjusting yourself at home if he feels that's appropriate. ...Read more

What can I do to get rid of my muffin top i recently had a bby and my stomach is so ugly i had a C-section & my stomach is now hanging over the surgery it frustrates me so much what can I do about it?

I : I think that you can accomplish this with a good diet - eating less. Breastfeeding as long as you can. Getting on a exercise program with a good trainer, and getting proper sleep will work best. Of course getting your schedule in order, so that you have some time available to do these things is paramount. Mothers have a stressful, chaotic, sleep deprived existence. It will take lots of work, planning and courage to get control of this. You can do it. Best wishes. ...Read more

Please can I have info on cervical erosion. I never got any kind if treatment when i was told I have it. Confused? Is there a way to heal it on my own

Outdated term: In the us, this term isn't used, as it doesn't have a specific definition or cause. In other parts of the world, it's been used to describe a red appearance of the cervix, which may be caused by infection, stds, or may be normal.See a gyno now, and ask if there's any abnormal appearance, and get tested for stds if needed. Then use condoms in the future if you may be at risk for stds. ...Read more

My doc says I have a loose knee cap, it can be really painful at times. I'm 22. What can I do to make it better?

Exercise: Strengthening your quadriceps and stretching your hamstrings can help to reduce knee pain. Avoid the leg extension machine at the gym. Walking on a flat, level surface, riding a bicycle, using an elliptical trainer and some standing yoga poses can all help strength and reduce pain over time. If needed a soft knee brace with a hole for the kneecap can sometimes help during activity. ...Read more

Twisted my foot 2 months ago. It gets swollen depending on the shoe i wear. I got a X-ray however I do not know how to read it. What can I do, no ins?

Twisted my foot 2 months ago. It gets swollen depending on the shoe i wear. I got a X-ray however I do not know how to read it. What can I do, no ins?

If you got an : X-ray who ordered it? The person who ordered it should read it. The problem is an ankle injury may be soft tissue related and not bony. So while the bones need to be ax mined to rule out a fracture, that is not the end all in an exam. You can try an over the counter ankle brace but i could never recommend this in lieu of a proper exam. ...Read more

I may have accidentally gotten wax stuck in my vagina, candle wax, how can I tell if I don't and how can I get it out or what are any side effects?

What can I do if my sister has mono, how do I avoid getting it?

What can I do if my sister has mono, how do I avoid getting it?

Already exposed ?: If you had it as a kid (90%) you likely have immunity and do not need to worry. If you were exposed to her within the week before she was diagnosed, you had enough exposure and will just have to wait the 4-6 weeks it incubates to see if you got it. If shes been gone, any exposure over the 3 wks to 3 months of the illness may pass it. Good hand washing helps. ...Read more

Do i need or can I get the sleeve im 5'0 i weigh 185.8 pounds my BMI is 36 so i was wondering if i could get the sleeve and would my insurance pay it what do you recommend that i do?

Do i need or can I get the sleeve im 5'0 i weigh 185.8 pounds my BMI is 36 so i was wondering if i could get the sleeve and would my insurance pay it what do you recommend that i do?

You : You should see your family doctor to evaluate your overall medical conditions. Body weight is not the entire means to determine a need for weight loss surgery. Sometimes diabetic conditions, severe arthritis, or heart problems can indicate a benefit from bariatric surgery. The individual types of surgery such as sleeve gastrectomy depend on what your doctor and your surgeon determine may or may not be indicated for your individual and specific conditions. I cannot speak for your insurance company, as many companies have many different and varied policies on what is or is not covered. Your family doctor may be able to help you find out what is covered by your insurance company. ...Read more
