How can I stop my gums from inflammation and swelling?

Find the cause.: You need to find out what's causing the problem, and treat that. Sometimes a good cleaning is all that's necessary, but you need to find out, because gum inflammation can eventually lead to loss of teeth.

How do u stop gums pain/swelling?

How do u stop gums pain/swelling?

You need help: Gum pain and swelling is a serious symptom, particularly if bleeding is present. Bacteria have created infection that leads to open wounds that if you had them on your hand, you would be very concerned. In the mouth they are hidden from view. You just feel pain and see bleeding. You are at risk for transient bacteremias damaging blood vessel lining in your whole body. See a dentist/hygienist.

Help please. When I get my braces removed, will my gums stop swelling?

Help please. When I get my braces removed, will my gums stop swelling?

Wrong question: The question should be, "can I get the gum swelling to go down while I'm in braces? " removing braces will not cure infected gums. Removing bacteria will. Don't wait to address this until after your braces come off. Fix it now. Ask your orthodontist & your general dentist for hygiene help. They may want you to see a periodontist.

After teeth cleaning how long until the gums stop swelling?

After teeth cleaning how long until the gums stop swelling?

One week: The gum tissue closest to the teeth turns over in as little as 7 days. Therefore, after a deep cleaning, the swelling should subside within 7 days. This is provided that you maintain the health of your gums with daily flossing and twice daily brushing. Within 2 weeks you should notice an improvement in the health and texture of your gums.

Can u please tell me gingivitis medications to stop swelling and bleeding of gums?

Can u please tell me gingivitis medications to stop swelling and bleeding of gums?

See your dentist: Bleeding gums can be a sign that you already have, gum disease. The bacteria and other particles, constantly form a sticky, colorless toxic “plaque” on teeth causing the gums to become inflamed and to easily bleed. This is a serious problem, which should be checked professionally by a dentist. The good news is that this condition is curable. Call your dentist today!

I have swollen gum on the side of my mouth it is huge and very painful. How do I stop the swelling and pain?

See a dentist: The swelling appears to be caused by an infection, from either the gum or a tooth. A dentist in your area can assess the situation to determine what treatment you need and prescribe the proper medication. In the meantime take otc pain meds.

Can you please tell me how inflammation and swelling differ?

Similar: Swelling is the outer, visible manifestation of inflammation in many cases. Inflammation depending upon the the cause and anatomical place may not show swelling. In general though, inflammation is the accumulation of fluids brought to the area due to trauma, disease etc, swelling would be a symptom of inflammation. Good luck.

If someone had inflammation or swelling of the brain. How severe would the headaches be?

Different things.: "inflammation" of teh brain might be painless, and present with seizures, paralysis, or altered state of consciousness. "swelling" presses against the dura (bag in which the brain sits) and that tends to become the worst headache ever - which is mainly how we find out about it.

Any suggestions on which treatments physicians commonly used in brain swelling or inflammation?

Any suggestions on which treatments physicians commonly used in brain swelling or inflammation?

Strange question: Are you in an ICU? Have you had a stroke or hemorrhage or severe brain trauma or a tumor? Are you in a coma? Are you having seizures? Do you have hydrocephalus or herniation? If mannitol, hyperventilation, hypervolemic hemodilution or steroids don't work, they may have to call in a neurosurgeon to drill a hole in your head to decompress your brain. Or have I misunderstood your question?
