Edema: Standing for long periods causes pooling of blood in your lower legs. That can give swelling, tightness and tingling. Consider getting some compression stockings. Dr Scholl has some light compression knee highs in the women's sock sectiion that may be a good place to start. Firmer/ tighter stockings are available in the pharmacy section or by order.
