How Can I Remove A Scar On My Eyelid After A Chalazion Surgery
Scars...: Are permanent and cannot be removed. Generally the best scars on the body are on the eyelids because of the excellent blood supply and thinness of the skin. Scars take some time to mature, however, and don't assume their final appearance for 6-12 months. See a board certified plastic, facial plastic, or ophthalmic plastic surgeon for a definitive opinion. Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers
Scar removal: Have a laser treatment. A pulsed dye laser uses light to reduce the size of scars to make them flatter and to repair pigmentation. The treatment is non-invasive and you'll be entirely healed within a week. Several treatments are usually needed to gain the best results. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Usually: The eyelid is anesthtized ("numbed") before the incision and drainage of a chalazion (chronic stye). Some times for a hordeoulm (acute inflamed stye) it can just be incised with a needle a scalple if it is near draining spontaneously, and this will allow it to resolve without a more extensive surgery requiring anesthetic. I have a chalazion in my bottom eyelid. It's pretty swollen and ugly. Is there a way to "pop" it? I cannot afford surgery. I've had it for too long.
Chalazions: These do require surgical 'unroofing' so that they don't come back. Even, if there was a way to just 'pop' them, they would return fairly quickly. Sorry that there is no quick and easy answer about it. Good luck. Read more

Swelling of this nature is not unusual and is one of the classic responses of the body to trauma. Surgery is controlled trauma. You should get better with time, but talk to your doctor anyway.
