Diet modification: Certain foods have a sugar called rafinose which we cannot metabolize and then bacteria in our gut use it for food and produce carbon dioxide as a byproduct. Careful: With taking excess fiber, as too much fiber along with inadequate fluids can make the constipation worse. Milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) and a liquid diet only until passing stool is best. Then avoiding recurrent constipation requires 80-100 oz of caffeine free, alcohol free fluid daily with no more than 25 grams of fiber daily. Take a good antiacid: You need to use a good antacid. Try zantac (ranitidine) first.It is cheaper but you have to take it twice a day...Start at bed time and see if once a day would releive your symptoms. May need workup w MD: dyspepsia is a symptom - often caused by underlying problems rather than make them. Stress can lead to gastritis and ulcers that give symptoms that you describe. Reflux can lead to bruxism and jaw pain&dyspepsia.
