I get headaches nearly ever day for about 20 years. Tracked every aspect of these with no patterns. How can I get rid of them?
Treat neck too!: Chronic daily headaches can be quite a challenge. Since most ha are cervicogenic, coming from the neck, you must treat that component to determine the relationship. Muscle tension, sinus issues, cervical disc problems may all contribute to the symptoms. Occipital neuralgia, radiating pain across the back of the head from the neck is often a problem. Must get the neck looked at and review options. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Acute sinusitis?: All in all, your symptoms sound like they could be caused by a sinus infection. These tend to be bacterial in origin and tend to not resolve easily without antibiotics. I've been taking sertaline for a little over a week now and every night I have a dull headache. Is this normal? And how do I get rid of it?
I have a major headache. Otc pills don't help get rid of the pain. What do I do? I had a blood transfusion 5 days ago because of anemia. There is a constant dull pain but every now and then there is a sharp pain. That stops me dead in my track
I : I can't imagine the transfusion you had 5 days ago can be causing your headache now, but i'd be more concerned about why you needed the transfusion in the first place, and see if that is somehow related to your headache. Also, at the risk of sounding stupid, if you're a coffee drinker and missed your morning dose, caffeine withdrawal headaches are the worst! feel better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I've had a headache for 12 days straight and can't get rid of it OTC meds..don't do anything. It's at the crown of my head all day and gets worse..
Prolonged headache: this is not normal to have a headache for 12 days. You need to see a physician or go to urgent care.
