Sometimes my scrotum is big and I can feel vines from the left side. Some times it shrinks almost normal, sometimes I feel fluid inside.
To consider..: Sounds like it could be a varicocele, which is caused by dilation of some of the veins that flow to the testicles. Left varicoceles are more common, as you report.
