Acne (Definition)

Acne is one of the most common skin conditions. It affects about 80% of adolescents. Acne starts as a blockage of the sebaceous glands followed by inflammation. Probably not!: Science still does not know whether diet and acne are related, but evidence is starting to trickle in. Based on what we are seeing in clinical research, it seems prudent to eat a relatively low-glycemic diet rich in colorful fruits and vegetables and omega-3 fats and to perhaps supplement with 30mg of zinc gluconate per day. It hapens: Many look at acne as a ritual of passage that torments teens that should fade as you enter adulthood. It doesn't, and for some it will go through periods of improvement only to worsen off and on well into their 30's.Your PCP or a dermatologist can help you with your daily routine. ...Read more

Hormonal, stress: Acne is one of those things that is always waiting there to attack if you give it a chance. So depending on hormonal changes in some, stress in others, it can erupt. Often times it is self limited and will improve with some time. Now, if you do not want to wait there are always skin care products and medications to help. What is the best diet to avoid acne?
