Is chiropractic care appropriate for a 5 and 2 year old? Can it help to resolve frequent ear infections in the older child? What are risk/benefits?

No: Chiropractic is not usually recommended for young children and can not treat infections. Young children are growing and developing and may be seriously injured by manipulations designed for adults. Most chiropractors do not have specialized training in pediatrics. I would recommend seeing your pediatrician and getting appropriate treatment for the ear infections. ...Read more

How to treat with a little mental retardation left as after effects of bacterial meningitis? how can I help myself? any therapy? any medication?

Time will tell: Even after the best therapy, bacterial meningitis may leave some permanent or long term effects which may improve over time. The key is to have patience , and to optimize your health with a diet and exercise. After all, your body has been affected by what one may consider to be a "typhoon" or "tornado". In such areas of the world, it will take time to rebuild- this goes the same for your brain. ...Read more

I'm using gentian violet for thrush. How often should I use this a day and for how long?

I'm using gentian violet for thrush. How often should I use this a day and for how long?

Azole cream better: Gentian violet is an old fashioned, messy, and not very effective treatment for vaginal yeast (thrush) infections. If not professionally diagnosed, see a doctor. If you've had yeast before and symptoms are typical, try an over-the-counter yeast cream; look for active ingredient ending in "azole" (miconazole, teraconazole, etc).
