Liquid vs other stuf: A simple cyst generally contains only fluid. A complex cyst is a sac that contains mostly fluid (liquid) but also some material - cells / tissue or colloid or something solid - inside. That solid material makes its appearance different than just a fluid-filled sac. Not that big: Every month you menstruate, you had an ovarian cyst. That cyst has the egg in it. On occassion, when the ovulation occurs the edges of the cyst will bleed causing a Hemorrhagic cyst. Not very serious.: Hey blood-filled for hemorrhagic cyst is not uncommon. If it is not painful then it can be observed to see if it will resolve without treatment. If a hemorrhagic cyst causes pain or does not resolve and it may need to be removed surgically. Hope this helps. ...Read more
