My ADD is bad so I take Vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) when I watch TV shows I can tell that I enjoy the story, but I just don't feel excited. Why is that? (I take 50mg)

I rarely take vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). I know it's bad even if I'm not prescribed. However I just took one. Should it be totally out of my urine in 48 hours or less?

I rarely take vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). I know it's bad even if I'm not prescribed. However I just took one. Should it be totally out of my urine in 48 hours or less?

Yes: Drink plenty of water. The elimination half-life of lisdexamfetamine typically averaged less than 1 hour, even the amount unconverted to active form is negligible in at most 8 hours. Having said so, it is important, you see your doctor for proper evaluation, diagnosis and care. Taking vyvanse as you indicated tells there may be a problem you need to address. Please talk to your physician. Stay safe. ...Read more

Is it bad if I take my Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) (add med, 50mg) in the morning and then have wine 1-2 glasses later in the evening?

Is it bad if I take my Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) (add med, 50mg) in the morning and then have wine 1-2 glasses later in the evening?

No but watch ETOH: Shouldn't be a problem taking vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and alcohol with the time difference. However if you drink 1 to 2 glasses of alcohol in the evening on a daily basis it will effect your sleep which will have an adverse effect on the vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). Be well and be healthy. ...Read more

Started luvox at night but now wants me to take it during the day. I'm worried about taking vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and luvox at the same timeWill I get a bad reaction?

Started luvox at night but now wants me to take it during the day. I'm worried about taking vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and luvox at the same timeWill I get a bad reaction?

Timing of dose: Is there a reason to change Luvox dose from nighttime to day? Switching Luvox to morning may increase interaction with Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) causing more of an effect and side effects from Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). This may not be a problem depending on dose amounts. You could also take Luvox a few hours earlier giving Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) a chance to wear off. Discuss your concerns with prescribing doctor. I hope this helps. ...Read more

Prescribed Prozac yesterday & today I've had bad abdominal pain. Is that common for Prozac? Or is it because I also take vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and they're reacting?

Prescribed Prozac yesterday & today I've had bad abdominal pain. Is that common for Prozac? Or is it because I also take vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and they're reacting?

Possibly: Stomach pain is not a very common side effect of Prozac and it may not be related to the medication at all. Prozac and Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) also usually are fine together without adverse effects. I would continue the Prozac and see how things go. If the stomach pain persists then speak with your doctor about changing it. ...Read more

I was prescribed 40 mg vyvanse, but I'm really scared to take it because I don't like things that change the way I think.

Vyvanse.: There are two ways to approach this. One would be to start a lower dose - I believe you can take as little as 10mg of Vyvanse daily to start. The other would be to not take it and discuss your concerns with your provider - maybe there’s another way to go for treatment. ...Read more
