Not likely to happen: Ovulation predictor tests detect lh (luteinizing hormone) in your urine. Urine pregnancy tests (upt) look for HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) which is similar to lh but not the same hormone. There isn't enough lh in your urine from the pre-ovulation lh surge to give you a "false positive" upt. The upt is very accurate. A HCG injection to trigger ovulation will give you a + upt for a week or so. ...Read more

As for the hot flashes and mucous discharge, this is not necessarily related to weaning your baby. Get an exam to check on these symptoms. Hot flashes would be more of a symptom of ovarian failure, which at your age would definitely be premature. ...Read more
