Can horizontally impacted wisdom teeth cause ear aches and loss of hearing?

Can horizontally impacted wisdom teeth cause ear aches and loss of hearing?

Yes and (no?): Impacted teeth may cause referred pain, especially if there is inflammation or infection associated with them. I have never heard of nor believe that impacted lower wisdom teeth (and probably upper impacted wisdom teeth) can cause loss of hearing. Do impacted wisdom teeth cause crowding and damage other teeth?

Do impacted wisdom teeth cause crowding and damage other teeth?

Possibly: Impact wisdom teeth probably do not cause crowding of the teeth in the front, because the wisdom teeth would need to push on the 2nd molar, 1st molar, 2nd premolar, 1st premolar, canine and the incisors. Some people believe the wisdom teeth do cause the crowding but people without the wisdom teeth can still get crowding in the front teeth. Why did everyone with impacted wisdom teeth used to get them pulled?

Why did everyone with impacted wisdom teeth used to get them pulled?

PAIN: People with true pain will often go to great lengths to remove the source. Having teeth close together without pain would not be considered clinically important and thus not drive one to have the teeth pulled. Timed removal of select, paired lower and upper teeth during the pre-teen or teen years may prevent the wisdom teeth from becoming impacted & decrease the need later. ...Read more

Is it better to get my impacted tooth and all of my impacted wisdom teeth out at the same time or separately?

Is it better to get my impacted tooth and all of my impacted wisdom teeth out at the same time or separately?

All at once: There isn't a real advantage to only getting out one or two. I recommend one procedure so one healing time. ...Read more
