I am 18 & black african & was wondering what gets rid of dark acne marks on your face naturally? I've tried honey and cinnamon so far.
Postinflammatory hyp: The first and most important thing is that you rid yourself of the acne which is causing these spots. This can be done in many ways and your dermatologist will help you. If the acne is stopped, and the spots are left alone and not picked-at, they usually do go away with enough time. Above all, it is most important to get the advice of your dermatologist. ...Read more
Don't think so: Once you have scars from acne, there is no potion that will make them better. The remedy you mentioned may help in keeping acne from getting worse. For scar treatment you need a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon who will tell you if they can help. Good luck from nyc. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Toothpaste: I don't know who starts this hoax, but toothpaste can badly damage your skin. As you have experienced, OTC's, off label applications (like using toothpaste on forehead instead of teeth), and Internet "solutions" are at best worthless, at worst harmful. For best treatment please see a skin specialist, a Dermatologist. They treat problems like yours all day every day. See a Pro. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Get a real Rx: There are dozens of weird, obviously made-up fantasy acne treatments. I suspect some of them are simply cruel pranks. If you want to try this, do it as an adjunct to evidence-based treatment. Benzoyl peroxide is your first-line therapy; if this isn't sufficient, get with your personal physician. All acne can be managed. Best wishes. ...Read more
Of course not: This is a cruel internet prank. I'm sorry your acne was neglected and you ended up with scars. Don't continue this. All acne can be managed until it remits on its own. If topical benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician who can add something that will. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Forgive my frankness: Whoever told you that "natural is better" did you a profound disservice. Painting your face with honey isn't suitable for a grown man when all acne can be managed by today's scientific rx. If topical benzoyl peroxide hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your physician; a trial of topical Clindamycin / retinoic acid or a move straight to oral tetracycine or even stronger will work. ...Read more
Can turmeric face mask mix with lemon juice and honey can treat ice pick scars, box scar, and acne?
No: I am VERY sorry you ended up scars, and even more sorry if this was because you or your family are focused on "natural healing" or (forgive my frankness) phony internet remedies. Acne is easily manageable by scientific medicine. Your scars can be treated by fillers, laser treatment, and/or microsurgery. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
